Beautiful looking Targa, to my eye the color looks like a lighter tone for metallic green however it may because all the shots are in bright sunlight..

I could be wrong, but I thought all 73’s came with the smaller rectangular side mirror as opposed to the larger 74-style mounted on this car. Perhaps because it’s a mid-year 73 MY they converted over to the large style?

Steve, you're absolutely right. I know at the time, a lot of us installed the later, larger mirror just for improved visibility. The mirror base seal and mounting holes are the same for the proper 72/73 mirrors as for the later ones, so swapping back and forth is trivial. Would definitely be a pain if there were a right side mirror...

That’s why I’m thankful mine already had the correct 73 MY mirror installed on the passenger side as well.

Nice, but you know the factory never made that mirror. The right side ones are all reproductions. Hats off to the previous owner who installed the mirror in the correcct spot, though. Most are installed where the RHD access holes are and are useless.

I find that really surprising to hear. I wonder how drivers in countries such as England were able to drive safely without a side mirror on right hand side cars.
