    FS: Zenith Carburetors & manifold 40 T I N

    Hello, offered up for sale: Asking $1,500
    I removed these from a ‘67 case that is going into a 914-6.
    I have a different induction system for that application.
    These were on the motor I purchased. I quoted the gentleman regarding
    the carb set up, because I’m in no way an expert on carbs.
    Figured maybe somebody here could use.
    These carbs came off a 911T
    I gently “cleaned” them and replaced the all the gaskets that came
    in a Zenith kit. Some mods done to the manifold per previous owner
    Quote:

    lines you see are there to supply manifold vacuum for the power assisted
    brakes on the VW camper in which I had the engine installed .. You can just
    plug those off .. Tap and install pipe plugs or maybe a 6 or 8-MM bolt ..or
    just use rubber caps...
    The other plugs you see are for the emission controls those carbs originally
    came with .. Their function was to keep the engine from dropping back to
    dead idle ( throttle plates closing ) This created a high vacuum situation
    where there was fuel being drawn into the cylinders and having no coming in
    for O2 for combustion to take place .. That whole system has been removed
    and the necessary passages plugged”
    I removed the fuel lines and vacuum hoses as they were dry rotted. These should be ready to just bolt on and go once the appropriate adjustments made.

    I’m in the process of doing a 914/GT tribute. Thanks for looking.
