    Rear bumper trim Question

    Guys
The Porsche product ( aluminum & rubber ) trim piece that attaches to the bumper each side is about 1” high @ middle of bend .......so how to get correct shape ?
Remove the rubber and heat and press to get shape ?
Make a jig and find method to compress to shape needed ?
    Thanks for insight

You have the repro trim, never fits. I have the old trim re-anodized, more expensive but it fits. When I had to make the repro fit I basically used compost dead blow mallets to remove the bend, then using various diameters of pipe I reshaped the bend to fit the bumper. And yes, remove the rubber first.

Thank you...thought muscle would be the answer.
Just surprised that Porsche ( repro ) would not be made correctly.
Inch by inch ....understand the process ,,, but worth it.
Next car will be original reanodized.
