Thread: All the Blues

    All the Blues

Looking at different pictures (images?) online of cars painted in the supposed same factory colour, I have been struck by how much variation in hue there is. Pick any colour and you will be amazed at the difference in cars painted in the supposed same colour.

I know a lot of this is down to different light conditions when being photographed, or maybe different exposures (do they still have exposure in photography nowadays or has it just become a political tool?).

It may be fun to get together a bunch of cars of the same manufacture dates to show the difference of cars in the variations of different period factory base colours i.e. Blue, Red, Green etc.

As a starter for 10, would it be possible I wonder to get a group of 1965-1966 cars together in all the blues, in one photograph so the variation between each is apparent. To my knowledge factory colours were: Aga Blue, Bali Blue, Gulf Blue & Albert Blue. Of course then there is the special order blues......

    Impossible?

Albert Blue looks like the updated and renamed older Bali Blue ?

It would be interesting to see two such cars side by side.
