    67S Fuchs Paint Detail

This may have have been addressed elsewhere but I can't find it with a search.

I robbed the picture below from a sale ad that popped up today. The painted portion appears to be original. I'm intrigued by how the paint line is masked in the vicinity of the lug hole. The spacing from the hole is slightly uneven, and the deviation appears to be almost identical at each hole, as if an identical mask was used. I know that the early wheel paint application wasn't a precise process, but is this typical?

Also, note that the paint sits on the mating surface for the lug nut. Again, is this typical of original paint? Other threads have suggested this is a no-no when wheels are refinished.

By the way, I'm not bashing this wheel...it looks to be a good example at a fair price.

Apparently uneven masking was not an exception.
I’ve also seen more black lug holes.
