    Ground cable engine area ?

    Hello, I found this cable during my restauration, does anybody know where it fits? In the engine area?

    Length about 50 cm.

    It looks like one of the ground straps that were on the engine lid to reduce/eliminate radio interference.

    Looks like the wire ground at the rear lid. Which could be for radio noise.
    But I thought it was for the license plate lights.
    I think the other end is at the hinge. (Or close to that area)
    There are two wires, one on left hinge thing, and one on right.

    Also looks like the ground strap that runs from the electrical panel to the engine on SWB cars

    I'm with John912 , looks like the elec panel to engine ground strap to me .

    Attempted to match up the "length about 50 cm." with the offerings in PET, but my text only speaks to "harnesses" and does not state lengths.

    The year of your car should determine whether it’s panel vs eng lid ground strap.
