    Help - VIN stamping color?

My car is a '70E coupe with a Porsche (Reutter) built chassis. I believe that the VIN tag in the luggage compartment should be body color and not highlighted in black as shown. I think things changed to black highlighting in '71.

Can someone confirm this for me? Thanks in advance.

    Thanks Scott

That seems to confirm my observations of the VIN stampings posted on-line.

    Tom,
