    Gas tank color check '66

Here is the color my painter used on my '66 tank. Does it look correct? Thanks

Looks more dark than the original tank I pulled from my December '65 car

Looks like Grey Wurth Shutz. I think it should be smooth Grey... Good Luck.

If it is an early '66 the tank should be painted with no stone guard . The paint is grey , much lighter than your picture .

Kind of a grey-tan. The headlight buckets are a grey-tan also.

this is new to me---any pics?
never seen this but --possibly the painters did not fully spray body colour on them and the grey filler shines through.

Ill try to get photos but I remember restoring some swb usa Hella headlight buckets and had to keep adding tan to the grey to get the color to match the original area with Hella script that I saved. I took this headlight from my mid 66 Grrman market sunroof 911 and it might show when it was "converted" to a USA 67 911L with new block script on the rear lid and wide bumper decos. I have unconverted it, hoping to finish it soon. Probably too shiny two stage Glasurit, going back to single stage Glasurit for the next one.
