Looking for some photos of the radio cut out 69 911

Hi guys I am trying to find some photos of he radio cut out on
The dash as mine was made bigger over the years . Also some
Photos of the support bracket behind as mine has been butchered.
If some has some measurements of the radio opening that would
    also be really helpful .

    Thanks in advance

Unless the 69MY dash/radio cut out and support bracket differ than 70-73, I can help with photos and dimensions...but no point if indeed the 69 is different Let me know

Shape of the 1969 Radio Face Plate

is the 1969 the same shape and size of the earlier cars 1965>1968? (Actually the same as 356 openings)

    see: https://www.partsklassik.com/Porsche...frankfurt.aspx

Is it Knob holes on either side of a radiused corner rectangle opening?

    If they are:

Holes are 10mm and 130mm center to center, 35.5 mm from bottom of dash.
Rectangle is 43mm high and 95 mm wide - 8mm Radius corners. Opening is 14 mm up from the bottom edge.

And on the early cars (65>67) the right side of the radio hole is 68.5 mm in from the edge for the glove box.

    YMMV.

Thanks for the reply , but you say 43 high 95mm wide ??? i think the radio is 50mm high x 180mm wide.

    thanks jonny

    Hi Jonny,

that's sounding like a single DIN size radio opening. Referred to as 7" x 2" If I'm not mistaken Din was not adopted till about 1984.

    From Wikipedia:
The US standard for a DIN radio is 6.83" x 2" (although the actual 180 mm width converts to something like 7-3/32" so most people use 7-1/8" to allow for clearance) and the Double DIN sized radio is a 7" x 4".

The dimensions given prior are for a period radio. Such as the Blaupunkt Frankfort.

Post a photo of the front your radio and that might help get you to an appropriate opening.

Hi image below from antique radio website ... Have loads of blaupunkt and Becker old radios in storage but haven't measured them or validated this image but maybe picture overlying measurement of several different era units helps?

As is probaly well known DIN is German standard covering many things hence the mm measurement maybe being useful rather than imperial frictions of inches.
