Does the other brake light come on when you push the brake pedal?

Looking at the wiring diagram for 73 .....shows power goes to brake light switch from fuse 8 on the 10 fuse panel direct to the brake light switch and single wire out to (yellow/black) then splits to each harness feeding the rear light assembly for each side.
If Brake switch is bad or stuck then with no pressure it’s sending power to assumable to both sides .....unless one side has a bad ground connection. The ground for rear harnesses are a post on the body right under rear fender ( single brown wire to post with bolt)
    Let us know progress.
When did this start ? Any recent work on rear harnesses ? What else lights up ?

    Ok.
    Progress report.
It was a multi issue fix.
#1 Plug at rear of engine bay was not making good contact with light harness plug. Once I fixed this , both sides lit up.
#2 Off to the pedal cluster, brake light actuator arm needed a small adjustment.
    Easy peazy.
    Thanks to all
