FS: SWB U.S. Rear Turn Signals - Minty

    !! SOLD !!

These are in beautiful condition. I'm not sure if they're NOS or not but they did come to me in what appear to be the original boxes. I'm selling them for a friend and he can't remember if they are NOS. But there is no denying that they are minty. I took the liberty of cleaning the bulb holder terminals and installing new bulbs. What appear to be the original gaskets are still soft. Also, they didn't have the mounting screws with them and I went ahead and installed some originals in great condition that I had on hand. No real flaws to point out.

I'll post as many pictures as I can in this post and follow up with more. Glad to take additional pictures if requested.

    Price: $1,200.00 plus shipping.

    Cheers,
    John

    Original Bulb Holders

Someone mentioned that these most likely are not NOS because of the discoloration of the bulb holders. I think I goofed. I replaced the original bulb holders with some that I had on hand that had been bead blasted to clean the terminals. Here's a picture of the originals that I removed:

I suppose I should clean them as well as possible with a Dremel and put them back in.

P.S. Still no guarantee that they are indeed NOS!

I’m reducing the price on these to $1,100 shipped free CONUS.

Interesting point of view from my little niche to watch how much interest in parts for the longhoods has waned. This seems like a great price for these - reproductions sell for $850.00 a pair compared to my original price of $1,200 - these are originals in exceptional condition. I’m starting to have a hard time figuring out what the fair market price is for things. Maybe eBay makes the most sense.

Quite a feeding frenzy mentality we have in our bubbly culture. Shifts from early Porsches to real estate to the stock market. Everything moving at internet time. At 74 years old it’s hard not to think of Jerry Garcia’s song, “Old and In the Way”. Hard to believe I was an internet pioneer in another life.

    Cheers,
    John

I’m with you John; I thought these would have been snapped up within hours. With original and well done restored SWB still bringing strong money it seems to me that the highly visible finishing pieces like lights, grills and trim would be highly sought after in condition like these are in. Perfect original parts make SUCH a difference in the finished product. GLWS

Thanks Nick. Helps me keep my bearings. They have been sold to a very knowledgeable Porsche collector.
