    FS: @Classic Driver - '69 'S' Coupe . . .

    VIN = 119300007
    Eng# = 6390044
    Trans# 7190029
    Prod# = ?

    '. . . We are pleased to offer this charming 1969 Porsche 911 S, production completion was 10.09.1968.
    This very early production of the 2.0 liter and first year of the long wheel base, making this a collectable one-year-only interim car. This Porsche 911 S comes with several options, such as the rare factory sunroof, fog lamps, a rear wiper etc.

    It was a factory owned management car, manufactured in September 1968 of the Sales Manager of Porsche at the factory in Stuttgart. When the Porsche sales manager retired 1969 the car was taken with the owner to his retirement home in California. The records show further that this particular 911 S was internally used by the factory. The car stood in first owner possession until 1985 when this lovely Porsche was sold to its second owner to Denver, Colorado. He sold the car in 2002 to the third owner to Ohio. Since 2014 the car is part of a private collection and in Belgian ownership.

    This Porsche, VIN 119300007, left the factory with engine number 639 0044 and was painted blood orange with black vinyl interior. It has a re-stamped but correct 2 liter type engine from 1969 and the paint has been refurbished in the correct “blood orange with the original black vinyl sport seats in excellent condition

    Interesting car. I wonder what the Kardex might reveal. Does Oct seem to be late production of #7 car in '69?

    If any car deserved its Kardex --- it would be this

    Think it's been stated by others, here, that the 1st 10 cars of any new model (like LWB, here) were typically retained/used by the Faktory for development/???/etc work? Noticed the replacement case

    (Oh-yeah --- look-up 119300009 . . . aka 911GTS)

    And I see, also, that the larger rear flairs have been cut off? . . . + no more mention of E-struts

    Very

    Think that the car may've sold in '69 . . . . but more-than-likely-if-not-prolly built in '68?
