It is a 69/70 driver's seat. You change it to a 68 seat by selling it and buying a 68 seat.

Does the Recaro Sport seat and the comfort seat for 1968 911S Targa suppose to have the head rest? My COA only said Recaro Sport seat (L) with black leather/B. Also the production date is April of 1968
    Thx

I believe all cars built after the change of the year had headrest as standard equipment so it wouldn't be listed.

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.

If your car is a true 68 911S, you can rest assured that it wasn't delivered in the US where all of the safety upgrades (including headrests) were mandated in Jan of 1968. ROW cars didn't come with many of the features that US cars got. Your car should have the provisions for headrests but may not have, actually, got headrests.
