    Original or repo parts ?

    Just starting to strip some of the parts

    what makes you think the front bumper is a repro..the center welding?--originalos have the center welding repops don`t.

    also the rears look not very repro to me...

    FWIW regarding the muffler. That does not look like an original Leistritz to me. The outlet looks to be stainless and lacks the crimps in the bend.

    Passenger rear bumper is a later replacement. 71 didn’t yet have the added triangulation brace.

    '71 911S??

    Your front bumper looks to be an original "S" spoiler bumper, BUT...

    '71 911S cars did not come from factory with the spoiler bumper....someone added that later in the car's life.

    Yes - agreed. That along with some other parts were added. Good to know it might be an original. I can’t make up my mind yet on what to do on the restoration - go back to original bumper or put the S back on. Trying to go back to factory , but I like the look of the spoiler

    The question was regarding "originality."

    I love the "S" spoiler front bumper look.....I have an original "steely" on my '69 T 2.7 hot rod!
