Rest of world maintenance records in English

On another forum a question was posted asking to get examples of all the different Rest of World (not North American) maintenance records in English. These RoW in English speaking have suffix xxx.20 and were used in British c16 EG market and others Australia, South Africa where cars often are RHD and English is spoken.

Three different editions ( three different print dates and print quantities) have been posted for model year 1973 alone where the one year model lineup in these markets was 911 TES and Carrera 2.7.

Does anyone here have an even earlier example than than the example I've posted above with print run of 400 copies dated X1/72 for November 1972. I know earlier ones for model 73 do exist. These earliest ones showing 911TES and Carrera 2.7 are unusual/ distinctive! Like the very earliest maintenance records for Germany, France and maybe Italy for that that particular 73 model year.

Not looking to see anything confidential posted -- no need for previous owner personal data or the chassis numbers etc in examples shared ....just the "small print" reverse side /inside plus the cover of first owner page showing the one year only 91TES and Carrera 2.7 model lineup

I expect many here are North American record books but this forum has international reach and cars move around so who knows if RoW 73 model examples in English are tucked away. Thought I'd ask here to broaden the reach of the original question.

    Steve

PS modern repros from classic not of interest as won't inform much -- just originals please

I dont have an earlier one but here is mine for a July 73 build, September 73 delivered car - so right at the end of the Model year
I am not sure however that the dealerships, or maybe the main importer for each country / region did not have a bunch of these in the drawer and just picked up one and filled it in when the car was sold - meaning that they may not be chronologically consistent across the model year (or even across model years)

You mentioned you have other 73 ones so you may have one the same as my March 1973 one. I also note also that it is a Porsche AG one (spelt out fully) not a KG one after the change at the start of 1973. Are there any other Porsche AG ones?

    Hi Hugh

The posts on the other forum show inconsistency of the use of AG and KG within model year 73. I have a book for a car written off by engine fire one dated VIII/73 that strangely reverts to KG late in the model year. I have posted my example of on other forum but don't have image on this device. I'll post it here when I get a chance. I'll send you an email or PM on the other curiosity that I allude to.

    Cheers Steve

    I'll PM you

    Hi Steve
I just found and read the other thread on DDK
just for completeness my car was delivered on 10 september 1973 (5 days earlier than Mike on DDK mentioned his was registered) and it has the stamped number 208389, very close to Mikes
I agree with you that this number is a critical piece of the warrant framework of numbers (and equivalent to one used in the Kardexes in earlier times. Therefore I have to say I am a bit suspicious of any maintenance books without them. If the late one (VII/73) you are talking about not only has the KG instead of AG but also has no equivalent identity number I wonder if it is an early "fake" one??

I'd have thought the same as you but despite the lack of the kd heft nr the book amd the revert to KG it has an extensive set of maintenance stamps from different shops and service people. Around fifteen stamps across seven dealers and specialists. Could be a repro but exceptional effort back to times when unlikely for repro book to even cross anyone's mind

Three oficxial delayers and two others well known specialists. Spanning 73 to 2000.

I suspect it is more likley that 100 books of this type was run off as a short print run in factory or maybe locally by importer if the stock of English row books ran out at end of the lifecycle of the long-hoods. It says 4309.20 100 VIII/73 M. So just 100 copies. But curiously reverts to KG six months after yours and mikes say AG in full.

Probably moot as car it relates to is written off and book is an orphan.

I'm sure there was grey areas as model years transitioned and books got send . Could be interesting to build up a reference thread to show the chronology of the books. This forum probaly has the reach
