The Comfort seats were installed in my friend's targa yesterday. And the first Recaro was test fitted in my car today. Hard to get good pictures of black seats in a dark garage.

Big day today, I took it out for a short shakedown drive. Last drive was 6½ months ago. Went well. The steering wheel was a couple of splines off, and I've got something in the back rattling a touch at idle. The rest of the car seems tight and ready to go.
After adding a set of center caps to the wheels, I'm considering the exterior work to be done for now. Yes, at some point I'll start upgrading various bits of exterior trim, but for now it looks pretty darn good.
On to the interior now.

I agree, "It looks pretty darn good"....
Looking fantastic there Arne.
Enjoy the great weather this week in Oregon to get out more on the roads if you can find the time.

Arne -- You should be really proud of your results. The car looks fantastic!
Wonderful, congratulations! That must be the quickest turnaround on a (partial) restoration ever.
There's always something! At least your hood stayed closed.I've got something in the back rattling a touch at idle

Still work to be done. Bear in mind that the interior is still a bit... missing. Headliner, dash pad and seats are all fresh and good, but the rest is yet to come. Good 'shelter-at-home' project.

Straightened the steering wheel, found and fixed the rattle. Continuing to work on the interior. Need to order carpet and door cards soon. Will be recovering the kneepads and door garnish rails as well. Other than the kneepads, the dash is about done. (Sorry about the sun flare.)
The car has come a long way since last September.

Arne,
What are you doing for a radio? I see you have a speaker grill but no radio in the dash?
What was the rattle?
Thanks for sharing. Car looks awesome!

Amazing what you accomplished since 2018. Right approach to get it on the road and then peck away at the less important details. And a great way to socially isolate.
