Yes, a lot of work is going into this shell/body. I am choosing to not skimp on that part, because it is *the car*. Other things like chrome trim, seats, door pockets and lenses might be less perfectly done ($$ and common sense considerations), but the bones will be sound, so that the car can then be bettered when time and budget will permit (maybe even by the next owner, who will likely be my son). Same reasoning is going into braking, suspension and electrics.
But in the meantime, I do the most important stuff once and correctly, price be damned.

Just a great project, dedicated effort to all the small details deserve Applause !
Especially since your hands did the work.

Did you figure out the fitting issue with the front left signal light? I have the same issue with my 70 911.
First of all, for Frank above: I am not doing the body work. My body shop (who repaired/repainted my 964) is. They are a bit OCD about correct fitment of everything pre-paint, which suits me fine. My wallet's in ICU, but in for a penny....
As for front blinker fitment, it is a complex issue. The main thing is that the blinker housing and the fender do not have the same outer curve. So it should not fit correctly, end of story. Except, we can gain a bit by moving the screw tabs a bit, by accounting for seal compression (new seals are not helping at this stage), and maybe by reshaping the fender edge a bit. Lead loading won't work too well on such a free edge where it wouldn't hold too well. And one can move the blinker only so much inwards before it hits the battery box.
That said, please good people post here pictures of good fitting blinkers, that I can share with the body shop, so that they have a good view of what is attainable.
George
Here are a couple of shots of mine if it helps. It is a 73 but that should not make a difference

Thanks for note, but I was referring to all the components you restored and efforts needed !
Not a small task and excellent work

Many thanks, much appreciated. Taking my sweet time is the key. Never hurried or burnt out, every week some work is done.
George, to give you some encouragement, mine were just as bad when I started.
