In those days, that's often how documents were duplicated in small quantities, on site, before photocopy machines became common.

The question was asked "Is this one a multiple copy (carbon copy) or the actual first impression typewriter?"
They appear to me to be neither of those.

Xerox machines came out in the early 60’s. Doesn’t appear to be a mimeograph to me and the shading defining an off skew sheet looks like early photocopy to me, probably off a printed original (not typed).

Hypothetically, is a 70’s photocopy worth more than a 2010? Given that neither would be original Porsche printed. Not tagging on your asking Jerry, just wondering aloud as to where the line is. I have some old photo copies myself.

apologies if my response seemed defensive. I don't know the exact process. what I do know is that these came to me from Paul Lang, presumably via Olaf. presumably again, when the archives would go through their periodic "clean up".

Jerry, my impression was based on your images, and I'm not an expert in such things. I did some mimeograph duplicating in the early 70s.
The print on your documents doesn't appear to be black, and the light background shading was common with mimeographs. But I haven't examined the documents directly.
Michael might be right, although I seem to recall that photocopy machines were very expensive and not so common in the late 60s.

LOL, and the printing image looks black to my eyes but, I’m on an old IPhone. A comical pair of sleuths we make, aye?
My only foray into mimeographs was getting high in grade school making copies on the old roller mimeo. That printing was definitely blue and it did give off an old blueprint vibe.
