    Oil hose engine to tank

Trying to confirm which oil hose is correct for a 1971S. Part number 901 107 720 01. Hose from drivers side of engine to oil tank. Some replacement hoses are soft while I see some used ones that are hard line for the most part.

Others can chime in, but I think the '71 cars used to rubber line (#17) in the diagram. The metal line (#18) was used for the sportomatic cars.

Tom is correct. That line (#17) matches the line on my 71 S. However, I am not entirely sure the hard line (#18) is for a sportomatic, as my 69T has that hard line and is not a sporto.

I think in '69 the hard line was used on all 911 models.

Simon , for a '71S with a manual trans the oil line is the soft line that goes over the trans . The correct fittings are another topic.
