    Minilite wheel info

Hey guys, I acquired a 1970 911T last year, which came with a set of 15" Minilite wheels. They aren't my cup of tea, and I already have a set of Fuchs to replace them with.

I've been looking to see what they are worth, and values seem to be all over the map. I'm not certain if mine are actual minilites, or replicas. There are zero markings or stampings anywhere on the wheels. I will include (admittedly terrible) photos below, but they appear to be IDENTICAL to the wheels pictured in this thread:

Here is another posting that seem to be the same wheels:

And, this listing I found on ebay also seems to be the same style:

One thing to note is that my set is staggered. I haven't measured, but they appear to be 6 and 7 inches wide, front and back. I also have the required mag-shank lugs and washers. I'm also not certian if these are aluminum, or actual magnesium. The finish is pitted, and I didn't care for all the 'bling' so the wheels currently have a black plastidip finish, as I didn't want to permanently paint them.

Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

the "real" Minilite's have markings, raised areas like a tag easily seen on the rim near where spokes meet, they will say Minilite

    +1

Had a set of 15x6 and 15x7 without markings that looked a lot like these, and several people who apparently know these wheels said the early ones can have no markings. Very cool period wheels, and an alternate look…

do yourself a favor and clean then well, coat then with some wd40, and put them away in your basement. Wait for the trend to change to period correct minilites and you have something very, very valuable. I would not sell these unless you need the funds.

If they are original suggest you get them checked for cracks
