    WTB: US Blaupunkt Frankfurt

    I am looking for a correct radio for my 1972 911T which a USA car. If you can get me one I will buy it from you. Keep your eyes open for one. Thanks. Peter

    There are a couple of these on ebay right now. Pricing looks pretty good on them to me. $130 ish range.

    Agreed, I didn't find them either. I'm going to want one for my early '72 as well.

    I have one correct for a 72 plus the optional amplifier available, Probably needs to be restored, if interested pm me.

    The thing is, most of the Frankfurts you see are European band models. Those are relatively easy to find. The US band models are much harder to find.

    For many, the Euro band are probably fine. Most US cars came with the typical "antenna, speaker and noise suppression" package, and the radios were installed by the dealers. So anything that is period correct is OK.

    But my car was Tourist Delivery where the radios were factory installed, and the option list specified "453 - Blaupunkt Frankfurt, US band". So I think I'm going to want to find the correct US band unit for my car.
