Curiosity: 1966 Kardex w/ Goodyear Tires

    Hi all,

My kardex lists "Goodyear" as the tire brand on my car from new in '66. Nothing new made by Goodyear in a vintage tire, but even info on what tire would have come on my car originally seems to be hard to find. Anybody else with Goodyear tires listed in the kardex, and/or know what model the Porsche factory would have supplied and why?

    Winter boredom setting in.

Well, in my Kardex database I have one 356 from late 1961 with Goodyear listed. Also a 1967 911 with them. However, the bulk of them are on 912's with the introduction of 1966 models in Aug 1965.

I ran G800's on my (Porsche powered) VWs back in the 60s. Terrific tire for the times.
