I’m in the process of deciding which grind to choose for my 9.5:1 CR 2.4 liter short stroke build.

It’s based off a 2.2T engine with Webers and LN Engineering 87.5mm Nickies with JE Pistons. All recommended case modifications will be made and upgraded ARP hardware will be used. Stock non-counterweighted crankshaft. I will either keep the heads stock if I go with the DC30 or have them opened up to S specs if I go with the DC40.

I understand without using high octane fuel the higher compression ratio can cause issues with the milder cams?

Does anyone have any experience with either of these camshafts in a similar build they are willing to share? If so, how is the power/torque? What is the powerband like? What is your set up if using carbs? Any suggestions? (besides buying a 3.0SC motor!!!)
