    I'm not sure of his name, but it was very nice car. I seem to recall him telling me it was a '66, maybe not.

    My '66 which was originally a Solex car and had the stickers. You can see the original Irish green where the stickers are coming off.

    Yep, just when it seems we have it figured out, we get a post that shows a 66 car whose owner "swears it is all original" that has NO stickers. If I've ever seen a rear panel that looks like it's been repainted that is one. I'll bet, then, there are no stickers on the shiny green "all original" car because at least that section has been repainted. Of course, all I can do is speculate.

    From cars I have photos of, I can confirm the decal on the air filter on build date September 8, 1965 and five (no far left) foil decals on rear latch panel 11/25/65 and (original paint) 12/2/65. Data points in between will solve this -- anyone?

    I now have a 10/6/65 with snorkel decal -- so between 10/6/65 and 11/25/65.

    Any update on best source to get "authentic" repros of engine compartment decal set for 66 911 w/Webers?
