The front tie down lower bracket I put at 6 inches from outside edge of the hood. So, put your tape measure on the outside of hood and measure in six inches on front bumper to the outer part of the lower bracket. Put tape down first and mark on the tape the holes to drill. Make sure you have clearance from hood when shut to clear the bracket. Once lower bracket is installed have someone hold the hood down and pull up on tie down to get the tension you want. Go pretty tight as they will stretch over time. The upper bracket on the hood you have to put a slight curve in it. The bottom of the upper bracket is 1 1/2 inches from bottom of the hood but yours could be different. It's a feel thing. The rear upper bracket is 5 inches in from outside edge of engine lid. We put them on after paint is done and gaps are perfect. It's a little nerve racking to drill into a perfectly painted car so have just a couple beers to take the edge off.

Working with Scott and Jayme has been nothing short of a pleasure. I can't wait for my Leaf ST to be done, so I can afford to start another one with them.
