Another one added to the fun shop of color! Glacier Blue. A totally rust free 20K mile cream puff Light Ivory Sportomatic with perfect factory dash that's now a RS flared Hot Rod. One of the best chassis I've ever had come through the shop. Will get 3.2SS Rothsport engine and short gears. Purists look away as this will take on a whole new awesome life!! Starting with good bones is such a good call for a high end Hot Rod build.

Can anybody shed light on the history of that "gravel protection" that appears to have been added onto the rockers? Is that similar to Schutz that goes on prior to paint? Did the factory do that and if so to which cars and in what era? Also, was it added in other places? Seems like it can be seen in the wheel arches also. Thanks for the noob question!

I had the same reaction, i.e., is that a normal amount of rocker schutz ?

It gets covered but yes of course that's where the factory put the SKS that goes under the side deco. I put it back as the factory did when the cars are going to run the side deco. And yes the factory also put SKS on the fender lips.

Factory applied the Schutz in the front area of the front trunk, the entire underneath of the car including the wheel wells, the engine bay, the bottom of the rockers and on the fender lips. 69-73
