    keys for ignition switch/lock?

I have a early U.S. ignition switch assembly for I believe a SWB car. But....no key. And no code numbers. Can a locksmith take it apart and make a key for it? Part # 901 613 101 00 I say U.S. car as it has the locking snout on it to engage into steering column.

Try Tony Euganeo, 610-461-0519. Extremely knowledgeable and talented with Porsche keys.

I got scared off when I called the number, and after about 10 rings, the answering machine simply said,"call back at another time".

I recently bought a 356 that needed keys for the doors, hood release, and glove box. Before I called Tony, I saw comments on the forums that showed some frustration with his response, but I gave him a try. He answered my first call, and within a few days sent me a key to match the door code on the Kardex. It worked perfectly. I then called to arrange for the other keys. No answer the first time, but he answered the next day. I sent him my glovebox lock cylinder and gave him the code from the hood release. The keyed glovebox lock and the other keys were returned within a couple weeks. At no time did he expect any payment until after I received keys that worked, and he was very helpful over the phone. Perhaps my experience was the exception, but I wouldn't hesitate doing business with him again.

Ordered an ignition key from Tony by its number on a Wednesday. Key was in my mailbox Friday morning. Payment not requested until proper operation verified. Highly recommended!

I've used him too but it's been a while. Never had any issues.

    Rick,
I used Tony this morning to make ignition and door lock keys for our 912 project. All we had was one key that wasn't a Porsche key; turned out to be a Bosch ignition; he found the correct blank in 2 minutes and I was done in 5 minutes. I had no problem contacting him either time by phone. He had some medical issues but he is now fine and back at it.
