Question Weber carbs to MFI transition date

    Hello,

I can't seem to find the information on internet so here is my question: Do you know exactly on what month did Porsche did the transition from Weber carbs to MFI on the 911S? I know that it was in 69 but more details would be great.

    Thanks,

    Louis

Porsche made MY 69 preproduction 911Ses in June 1968. They had MFI.

The 1969 911E and 911S were specified as MFI, so there were no official cars with carbs. The only 901/10 engine I know with Weber's was a 1968 prototype with a preproduction magnesium case, and the serial # was weird mismash. So, this 911S you are looking at originally had MFI, no question there.
