    obviously you can not scale the picture due to lens distortion. But were he has the measurement you can trust the distance on the tape measure because they distort together. Just a quick observation taking into account "distortion" , the pattern is symmetric .... same vertical and horizontal...

    Some pictures I have of 356 perforated vinyl which I believe is the same shows a non symmetrical pattern with the height larger than the width leading to an "elongated diamond"

    Yes Uai has it right. equal sides triangle. Or parallelogram. That means you can get the length off of moitos picture and perform some geometry to find the spacing... i was wrong.
