    correct 1972 seat belts?

my 1972 911T has matching 1970 repa rear seat belts with 1970 repa seat belts and recievers up front (passenger side is actually dated 1968).

Would this be not uncommon in a 1972?

My early '72 (8/71) had 1971 dated non-retractable Repa belts.

As discussed elsewhere in other posts different three point brand belts were fitted in different geographies: Kangol common on British market cars as Seen in pictures of demonstrator cars 72 and early 73 when new. Also a.lot of evolution in belt around that time. Hugh once mentioned Australia specified local brands. Iirc Karim mentioned another brand in his market. Might it depend if factory fit or geographical regulatory requirements or importer dealer fit rather than generalising repa of various dates?

My car COA claims "equipment for saudia arabia". (It is supposed to say canada)
    it is a 01/72 build.
perhaps that equipment would be 1970 Repa seat belts?

I'm betting those are not original to the car. Dates are too early, seat belts did not sit around on the shelves that long, I don't think.

    thats what i think.
Somebody must be missing a set of 1970 belts on vancouver island is what im thinking... but i dont know why. The car is very original. Cant see why somebody would swap them out during only 2 owners from 1972-1986?

Just saw above build date of 1/72. For the US cars built after 31 Dec 1971 came with retractable belts. No clue what the Canadian (or Saudi) markets got.

it has the retracter boxes. Perhaps that makes it suspect?
