Car is 73 with original style charging system.
During winter hibernation I changed both conventional flooded batteries with two AGM Miata, sourced from Batterymart. The change went well with minor modifications.

As I am driving the car again I observe charging voltage has increased from before hibernation. Voltage now is approx. 14.4 +-.4 And on occasion I see 15. Prior to winter hibernation, and battery change, voltage ran 13.8 +-.4.

I have verified my digital lighter socket voltmeter with another good voltmeter
I changed voltage regulator, and the higher charging voltage has persisted.

My questions are weather the AGM batteries resulted in the voltage increase and, more importantly, should I bend the regulator spring anchor to bring charging voltage to prior levels.
