Thread: Punch recommendations...

    Punch recommendations...

I have a pneumatic punch, but it is heavy and in certain circumstances "unwieldy". I have seen hand held punches that look to be great alternatives.
I constantly have steel replacement sections (18-22 gauge) that require they be punched prior to welding...where using my spot welder is not an option. Looking for recommendations from the board for tools people have actually used. Also interested in what tools to avoid (ie: poorly designed/manufactured).

In addition to my pneumatic punch/flange tool I use a Roper Whitney No. 5 hand punch. You can still buy them new. Don’t settle for a imported copy.
