Cam, if your tube is bent, the tube portion alone is the same for all 356 models, and is actually an early Volkswagen part.
The only part unique to a 356C is the cast outer piece, which supports the wheel bearing, brake caliper and shock absorber. That is the expensive part.

    Thanks Jon

We would like to find a good one, rather than do a cut and shut but that is the last resort!

    Cheers

Cam, there's no cutting or welding involved, the tubes were pressed into the cast outer pieces and then pinned together.
Their disassembly is outlined in all the factory manuals, and it's really the only accurate way to check them for being bent.

A complete C axle tube is expensive, they're needed for C cars and for disc brake conversions on earlier models.
The tube portion alone is plentiful, much less expensive and easier to ship too.

Ok so its been clarified to me that the flange where the rear brake caliper bolts to is the bent part.

So to clarify I'm looking for that piece, or the whole axle tube assembly.

    Cheers
