    Electrical Guru Assist Please

Hi all - I have an odd wiring issue on my 71T. The car was apart several years ago and I bought it recently. I noticed this when testing all the lights, which at first glance seemed to be working OK... but...

    Heres the situation:
--Reverse lights only activate with ignition on AND running lights on OR if you turn on signal left - right does not.
--ignition on with turning on signal left or right with no running lights activates the running lights on the left or right side
--pulling the fuse for the running lights does not cause bulbs to go out
--pulling the fuse #8 top for the reverse lights does not cause them to go out, if they are lit.
--when running flasher - reverse lights do not turn on

I suspect, based on what I see in the diagram at top fuse #8, and bottom fuse #5, there is something odd at either the headlight switch, or the ignition switch. And as a result, those are getting power on the non-feed side of the fuse hence the behavior of the reverse lights. So I suspect some mis-wired switch. Both the ignition and headlight switches are newer (installed by previous owner).

Its odd behavior for sure, my bigger concern is the running lights seem not to be fused at the moment... and the behavior of the reverse lights !!!! All the electrical seems to be fine otherwise, all bulbs work, all behave normal except as noted above.

Any suggestions on where to hunt and the best process of elimination?

    Update:
Removed light pull switch. Wires correct per diagram. Removed white/black wires from 58L. Separated the jumper connection. Reverse lights don’t work. Connected the jumper but left disconnected from the switch and turned on left turn signal. Power flows and reverse lights turn on.

Next I’ll check ignition switch and hazard switch wiring. And recheck the fuse box wiring.

    Thank you

I did a few basic debugging. All my grounds are clean.

Car is going in for an oil cooler addition, so going to have shop try to debug this.

    Any suggestions or pointers?

I had my shop continue the debugging on this. Turned out to be: some mis-placed wires at the fuse block. They retraced and rewired the fuse blocks and all is well now. Couple mistakes on reassembly several years ago after the car was refreshed.
