    Alloy 911S Front Calipers

I'm putting a set of restored alloy 911s brakes on my hot rod and I was wondering how the brake lines go into the caliper.

I assume I need new hard lines as the ones that are there now going into the A calipers go into the top of them, the alloy go into the "back" of them.

Do I need banjos, or do I go straight in? Thank you.

Yes...you'll need banjos, correct sized copper washers and the proper connecting hard lines for the application.

Does anyone know the function of the rubber tubing around the metal line that connects the two cylinders?

I asked a popular restorer and he had no clue.

I thought it was to avoid metal on metal protection

It does do that- Would a manufacturer take into consideration someone banging the tubing into the casting?

    Certainly not today.
