Thread: When did ventilated discs become an option ?

When did ventilated discs become an option ?

Can anyone tell me if ventilated discs were available on a 1967 911 Coupe ?
When were they first available as an option ?
    Thanks

Well they were certainly standard on the 67 S, don't know if they could be optioned for 911 normals however.

I had a 67 normal, one of the last 500 built, it had ventilated discs. Everything else on the car was original . Since they changed over to vented for 68, I assumed they could have made the change on some late 67 normal cars but I ‘m only speculating. Is changing over to ventilated discs on the rear an easy switch or is there some difference in the hub?

And brake dust shields... At least they are specific on a 67s.
