Lawsuits Filed Against California Porsche Restoration

Some of you might be interested in the ongoing discussion re the pending lawsuits that have been filed against California Porsche Restoration on the Porsche 356 Registry: https://forum.porsche356registry.org...de454138a458ea). For some of us who have had a bad experience with CPR in the past it was just a matter of time before the chickens came home to roost.

I have a pending case that unfortunately involves CPR and an ESR member falsely selling me his car. I reached out to the ESR member early in the deal and he didn’t have the decency to tell me his car was not for sale. This went on for months.

though I haven't confirmed it, I suspect my claim is similar where they sold me a car that was either not for sale, or was consigned but they never paid the consignor. Is your attorney one of the 7 that had the call a couple of weeks ago? If not email me and I can loop in your counsel.

Here is a list of lawsuits pending against Andrea Douherty aka CPR Classic. These are screenshots taken August 1, 2023 directly off the Superior Court of California website. My particular case also involves another ESR member who colluded with Doherty/CPR.

Andrea Doherty had agreed to a stipulated settlement that listed out the details of the fraud. She signed it along with an agreement on what she owes, which is now filed with the court. Of course, she defaulted and CPR now has hired a debt mediation service in an attempt to negotiate settlements and avoid bankruptcy.

Mediation can be a euphemism for getting short changed.

we have always believed that people in this close knit Porsche community were above board and honest and could be trusted with a handshake. I have to admit that I was only burned once, along with my friends at PB Tweeks by that guy Bill at Lansing Steel who stole both Tweeks and my tooling for steel parts we were making. The fact that both of us had a handshake deal meant that we could not sue to collect and the lawsuit would have been too costly to pursue.

That is exactly what CPR is trying to get away with. They need to be forced to sell assets including their 917 to pay their debts.

I have been warning people not to have anything to do with CPR for the past 13 years after they unsuccessfully tried to scam me not once but twice. It was at that point that learned of a number of other people who had been burned by CPR going back many years before then.
