    356c rear brake calipers for 911 1964

    Hello,
I finaly found this pair of rear brake calipers.
Thanks to PMB Performance because their white paper about the 356c brake calipers helped me identify the right model:
    >>>
... some of the first 901 (911) cars came equipped with 356 calipers.
356 calipers will have a Dunlop license marking by the fluid inlet.
    ...
They will have a 3501 marking cast into one ˝ and a 3502 marking cast into the other.

The 3501 and 3502 markings are present:

Still looking for a pair of front brake calipers:
    PMB Performance white paper:
    >>>
They will have a 4801 marking cast into one ˝ and a 4802 marking cast into the other.

    <<<

Question: Any idea of the exact model / date of this 356c front calipers?
There are no markings 4801 nor 4802.
Those calipers have a 4810 marking only on one side. No marking on the other side.

To go forward we have to find some sheets metal for the body of the car.
We found some accurate panels from RD.
Franz offered me old original and NOS sheets metal.
Unfortunately I haven't any news since long long time from him...
How are you Franz? Could you please contact me?

Recently Richard (061) sent me pictures of other interesting parts that the shop and our metal guy are looking closely.

Thank you Jacques for your interest in the 300090 project.

    Early 901 ers and 911ers,

Here is the original steering rack from 300061. No date code unless 300 somehow is? Thanks.

    300061 vs 300090 Steering Rack

    Thanks Allen!
The steering rack of the 300061 seems to confirm that the steering rack of the 300090 is original.
According to the Jsottile’s post #131:
    • Same cast number 78 20 501 112 (although not very readable on the pictures)
    • Same part number 78 20 900 112
    • The build number of the 300090: 427 comes after the build number of the 300061: 300.

The 300061's steering rack appears to have never been cleaned nor stripped.
I'm curious whether it was originally painted (what color) or not...
