    You bring up a great point. I often see a person pose a question that gets multiple answers. Especially when it involves a mechanical or question of authenticity or compatibility. More often than not, the original poster never comes back with a follow up to his question and whether any of the suggestions offered provided a solution. It would help the whole community if
    that follow up actually happened. That's how all of learn. By the way, I did have the transmission out of James Dean's 550 at the shop for a few minutes. It belonged to a friend and an avid collector of Porsche cars and memorabilia. He had it in the back of his truck when he stopped by to chat. Sadly, he is no longer with us.
