Beige leatherette seat cover suppliers for 1970

Can you suggest any tried and tested beige leatherette (31) seat covers supplier for 911 E 1970 in USA or Europe?

    Best

I have checked with Tony at Autobahn International, Cartex / Sixt Clinic and KHM. None of their vinyl samples were good enough. Most of them recomended me to go for a lehter interior. The closest I've come is a sample of beige vinyl from Lakewell. The color is slightly too dark compared to the original beige vinyl interior. I would like the interior to be as close to the original as possible. I therefore hesitate to use leather because it is a completely different material and structure than vinyl. But on the other hand, I have not so far found any vinyl with exact color matching.
IŽd be grateful for any input, comments and suggestions etc on this topic.

    nick,
my car is beige too, from 1971.

i did not find a good match, so I painted my vinyl with a vinyl dye. a dupont paint.
    just one idea.

    Scott,
It looks very nice! Has it held up well? Have you noticed any difference?
In my case the problem is that the interior of my car has to be changed, at least the seats and the rear parcel shelft. The vinyl on the seats are broken and the rear parcel shelf is retrimmed in the wrong color (black vinyl).
It seems that there were two shades of beige color on the vinyl interior for 1970. Mine has the lighter shade.

yes, mine is the light beige too.
the paint, which they call a dye, is very durable.
i have even painted black vinyl and made it beige.

and if it goes bad, too dirty, etc, then i just repaint it. and it looks new again.

for leather, these days, it is blue or red paint...as there aren't blue cows.

over here is USA, there are several vinyl dye makers...SEM, dupont, dupli-color

i custom order mine at a paint store in town.

Don't know if this helps. About 7 years ago I wanted sport seats and looked into various repros. Chose D'eser as the closest possible but was confronted with the same problem. Couldn't get basket weave vinyl in '68 beige. D'eser offered me leather dyed to match the '68 factory color sheet and said they could press the basket weave into the leather. Accommodated me by producing extra leather in both smooth and basket weave. Right now my car is still on a lift and I can't get to it, but here is an old picture with the leather interior. Leather is a very viable alternative and the Italians seem to be masters at color match. I think Tony at Autobahn can do this also. He made the actual door panels in the '68 style from the extra leather I supplied. What a craftsman. Leather is actually a little lighter color than what the picture shows. May also want to contact Doug Coughlin on this site. He has done an extensive search looking for beige vinyl for his '66.Name: 005.jpg

To make a long story short bought them several years ago. For various reasons I have only had the car on the road for about 20 miles (don't ask). Seats are very comfortable but since I have never driven a car with originals I can not really compare. Probably weigh about the same as NOS. Hate headrests so I had them made without provision for the headrests (took the liberty of ROW). Did that a lot as you can see by my addition of the Crawford dash, extended hub wood wheel and painted instrument surrounds. Spent a lot of time looking at everything available in 2009/2010. Clearly the best. Recent ESR thread about the seat hinges with everybody agreeing that D'eser were the best match. At the end of 2009 I paid $1,650.00 each and went through Mr. Fiat who was representing them in the US at the time. He may still be doing that. Very handy in that I spoke no Italian but had pretty specific requests as to what I wanted. With the extra leather (smooth and basket weave) I spent $5,500.00 shipped. I'm am at a loss to give you current costs. You may want to reach out to Uli on this site. He seems to have had some experience with them I think. Wish I had better pictures. Am searching around for pictures of the door cards Tony made.
