    That would be great.
We're meeting at Dornbirn on thursday 17.th Sept morning. I'd like to start driving at approx. 9:45 hrs.
I haven't yet decided whether I'll drive from Home to Dornbirn on thursday morning or (probably) wednesday evening.
I spoke to Ralf (Calover) today. He'll stay on sunday 20th evening near us (72160 Horb Germany) - so there is a planned dinner for Sunday evening in Germany Landhaus Engel, Karlstraße 4, 72351 Geislingen

Oh, I thought we were meeting in Dornbirn on Thursday Sep 17 at the end of the day (I can't be there earlier). Just to confirm the hotel dates: one night in Dornbirn from Sep 17 to 18, then two nights in Merano from Sep 18 to 20 right?

Hi Frederik, yes hotel data is correct. You can join / leave the tour at any day. I thought that you just wanted to join the the three days Fri-Sun not the four thu-sun.
I am not yet made my descicion whether I'll stay in Dornbirn from Wednesday to thursday as Dornbirn is not that far from my place. I'll drive the thursday tour next weekend and see how much driving time it takes.
So if you'll join thursday evening it's fine
    So the tours are
    Thursday Dornbirn-Dornbirn
    Friday Dornbirn Merano
    Saturday Merano Merano
    Sunday Merano Dornbirn

All good! Great that you live so close; for me it's two days driving to Dornbirn.

I like the idea of staying 2 days in the same hotel so not packing unpacking every day (saves some desperately needed 30 minutes of sleep).

With the idea of book your own bed only cities/regions with a couple of hotels would qualify for the stays.
So I came up with these 4 tours - these will be too hard I guess when you're not two drivers per car.
What's your opinion? make it 5 days? have shorter tours? or drink less and sleep more?

    Hello Ulii and all,
I always wanted to do the Stevio and hope to combine this in this trip. On day 2 (Friday) coming from Switzerland on our entry into Italy, I would really like to take the turn left onto the SS38 to do the Stelvio. From there will drive to Merano to join you guys again.

Ulli, is that a feasible idea? You might have done the Stelvio, would this work?

Been driving 600km of country roads and alpine passes yesterday to get the last finishing touches.
Unfortunately there are some Roadworks so the thursday tour will be LONG, but rewarding.

And I've driven Riedbergpass for the first time - that is one of the nicest roads of the tour.
