    I wasn’t at the factory on March 19, 1969, but I’m pretty sure that’s the original hood badge they installed.

    That would be an anomaly (IMHO). I have two '75 cars. Both one owner, original paint cars and both among the first 100 cars produced (#19 and #61 if memory serves me). BOTH have the red bar, 75-77 transitional badge.

    Of course, we all know that Porsche often used whatever was leftover and sitting on the shelf so that doesn't mean it's impossible for a '75 car to have been delivered with an orange badge just that, in my opinion (for whatever that's worth), it wasn't the norm.
