    Hi Niklas,

Where did you buy the Highland paint?

    Hi Cees,
First I tried to order via Sierra madre and Stoddard, but they refused to deliver to Sweden (Europe). Slackers. I therefore contacted the manufacturer directly and it was no problem at all to have it sent to Sweden (Europe). I ordered a number of spray cans and sold a couple on the Swedish forum and to a well known restorer. I had contact with a very helpful guy named Matt Preston <mpreston@highland-international.com>
I can recommend their product. It is the right color and it has held up very well. I used to use VHT, but I think their gray is too light. I have compared with a NOS muffler from 71 and the pictures on the 700 mile 911S. The color from Higland is very close to the original color.
If you like I can send you some reference pics on the muffler.

Would be interesting to see if they can match the silver used on the earlier systems

    Joris,
I would give it a try and contact them, they seemed to be car enthusiasts and were very helpful.

    Cees,
Let me know if it works out. Otherwise I might have a spare can (somewhere).

    All,

I have spoken to the Highland people and they are willing to look into making the silver used on the earlier systems if there is suffcient demand out there. I am not quite sure till when the silver was used but would venture a guess and say 66/67. Outside of me anybody else interested in getting the correctsilver high heat paint for the exhaust and heater boxes?
