The Ultimate Road Trip Around the World - in a 1971 911T

    Hi everyone

Last Tuesday I had the great pleasure to meet Chris A. Koch and Madi Ene, two intrepid individuals from Germany and Romania respectively when they came to Ottawa, Ontario as part of their incredible journey around the world in Pasqualino, their 1970 911T.

I think this will be the first time a 911 has undertaken such a journey.

Anyhow, they are now headed down into the US and I wanted to introduce them to the Registry and the amazing people we have here in the hopes that there are opportunities for them to hook up with some of you - also to act as some kind of support group should they need specialist expert help along the way - the sort of thing we have all witnessed and experienced by being connected through the Registry.

The website documenting their trip is: https://www.road-911.com and you can find them on Facebook [https://www.facebook.com/the.911th.road], Youtube [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwj...WmPBxMAh_5FcVA], and Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/road.911]

We were hosted at Mark Motors, the local Porsche dealer, where Chris gave a short talk about their trip, and then we were privileged to witness the Canadian flag being affixed to the hood of their car - a great way to document the trip!

Their car was prepped by Tuthill Porsche and is wonderfully original - including the paint! Not sure how the paint will fare as the journey progresses.

Anyhow, here are some photos from the event:

There is also a live feed on their website to show you where they are - if they are getting close to you - let them know and maybe get to meet them and become part of this journey.

I am surprised by the speed they have

I took this pic in person the 6 September on a large bridge we got here in Denmark
well Denmark was a wet adventure that weekend as I remember, but from there they went to Ferro islands , then Ice land etc

they sure did some serious planing , ferry crossings , shipping etc
