    Factory Floor Soundproofing

I recently had the floor replaced by a professional body shop. I am satisfied with the result except for one thing: the noise in the cabin is noticeably greater, particularly speech interference at cruising speed. The car was not quiet before by any means but I would like to get back to the original floor sound proof level.

Is the tar-like stuff the factory applied still available or do I have to go with something like a dynamat product. It looks like my guys sprayed underbody coating on the floors. Any ideas from the restoration guys out there.

    Thanks,

I recently had my floor, package tray, seat pans and sunroof deleted. I just got back from a short drive through some back roads near may house(drove by some of the burn areas in the Bay Area and saw triple digits at times while being very respectful and looking out for first responders). I am still trying to get my hearing back. Damn, that was fun! No soundproofing what so ever and no interior except for seats. I don't know if I want to put it back. I haven't weighed the car but am sure it is well below 2K.

I hope by "triple digits" you mean temperature and not speed. No way you can be respectful driving that fast in that place.
