If it is a 1966 the speaker grill is part of the dash cover , up to 1967 the dash was one piece

    Well darn. Nothin's easy. lol

    Thanks Doug

Somebody recovered this dash with what I believe to be the correct vinyl. Trouble is, there's no holes for the speaker. Does anybody have any suggestions as to how to go about remedying this?

    I want it correct.

    Thanks

    Yep
Go to: Darryl D's Garage. He made a template for the speaker grille.
He outlines the necessary steps and what you'll need to do it correctly.
If your dash is already assembled...well that might complicate things for you.
    Good Luck David!

Already found his website. I think I will get the template and go from there. (I may have to recover it again. If so, so be it.)

Thanks man. Appreciate it a lot.

The radio can be heard just fine. It just bugs me that it's not right.

David, I used it on mine.
I went to a copy place like fedex or kinko's and had them make a decal out of the template.
That worked out really well. No slip, perfect positioning.
Get a NEW Leather punch the correct size and a 1/4" thick piece of leather as an insulator underneath the vinyl while you punch the holes.
