Well, it's been a while to get these done... over 3 years. Lot's of time and $ investment, and in many cases just to get something "made" you have to make far more than you need. One item in particular I own 40,000 of (no, not a screw, it's a small plastic bit). Many prototypes were made, and test fitted, adjusted, tweeked... re-tool the "tweek", etc.
We made them as close to original as possible, no corners were cut. The trim ring is brass and then chrome plated, not stamped steel, as an example. Casted parts like the bulb holder base has the original "Lampe H1" in the casting. Correct sticker for adjustment at the base. The screws are oval head, not flat machine screws, and the "rube goldberg" cable screw is identical to the original Includes bulbs, attachment screw, and the correct "thin" gasket.
The glass lens does not say "Bosch" on it. Couldn't do it... just saying "bosch" you get black helicopters flying overhead. All the other lettering on the glass is "raised" on the outside. I guess this is a bit like what AL did when they started to make the H4, and Bosch was no longer available on that glass either.
But, what we did do was to make the lens out of "borosilicate" glass which is more thermal shock resistant (higher temp and more resistant to breakage and chipping). This is what the old Pyrex used to made of. It's also more $ to make, and imho you get a bit more clarity on the fluting.

Price is $685 a pair "shipped" in the USA, and outside of the USA just let me know and I'll get you a quote. Shipping to countries like UK, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, France is only $36 by FedEx. Price offering by direct contact please.... autoforeign@gmail.com
I have "BOSCH" scripted reproduction glass from one of the German suppliers in both yellow and clear. These can be purchased for $80 per pair when purchased with a set of the H1 lights. You "get" to do that swap if you wish, I hate doing it.
Thanks! Order early and often so I can get more $ to finish up the Biodes....
Just a final note... the bottom pic is of a set of my H1's on high beam with 55 watt bulbs. No need for LED....
Cheers,
Eric
