SSI Heat Exchangers - NEW!! '

BRAND NEW, never installed SSI Heat Exchangers for 2.7-3.2 carbed motors. These were originally purchased in 2014. SMC sells these for 1800+ p/set. Asking 1500+ shipping/fees.

Just to correct your description, and a free bump. Your pictures show thin flanges. Rob

Can't believe these are still unsold. I wish they were MFI-type.

I wonder if these are effected by a before and after " Made in Novato, California" syndrome. Kinda like the Pre CBS Fender guitars more sought after that after CBS bought Fender in 1965. Chris

Chris, do you know when that happened? I’ve had these for at least 5 years now. Not sure if that’s before or after?

IIRC, it was more than 5 years ago. The mouth of the flanges was finished differently on the Novato units, and the spot welds were closer together. These appear to be the “after” units - but I could be wrong.

As I recall, the sale of SSI to Dansk happened around 2012 or 2013. I do not know how to identify which ones are which.

While I know that the early CA-made versions are considered better built, I don't think the newer ones are all that bad.
