One of two Porsche-related auctions today that profited from "BaT-shyte crazy" bidders, IMHO. The other was the purple S project at $104k.

I have 4 freshly restored wheels just like that set of 5. Should sell them on BaT, buy a set of replacements and pocket the difference.

I wonder how someone in the market for these was not aware of the true current values...plenty of them appear here and there on early S and Pelican for significantly less money. Perhaps BAT is a gold mine to sell your not so rare PCAR items to not so savy buyers.

Had a bet with my dad the Purple S would go for around 75K. Wasn't even close. Cool project but I bet it is crustier than what first appears (as they always are).
