Frankfurt mounting scenario / radio to bulkhead

in researching the return to a stock / original radio I see 2 types of mounting scenarios between the radio and the bulkhead.
the 2-piece unit pictured appears to be complete and basically self explanatory. the other one... uh... not so much.
is this one complete ? can someone post a pic as to how it appears when installed ?
is either one more correct than the other ?
    the car is a '73.
    feedback is appreciated.

top one looks correct, radio slides in for rear support, there should be a bolt in the bulkhead for mounting. Put the bracket in first, slide radio in and put faceplate in front on the dash.

Here is how it’s looks on my 71 from underneath, I put this in a couple years ago and I used the top setup.

No I haven't tried it but thought it could be made to work. Black clamp looks correct if silver part does not reach should be able to craft something that would work. Black clamp just bolts to the silver bracket.

Note application date. This is from www. Maybe I have a later version in my papers but can't recall for sure.

Unlike what is said in the prior posting the genuine original black item that I've seen in the installation kit that came separate from the radio to fit to 911 don't "just bolt" to the silver item it has a couple of hooks as can be seen in OP's top picture first post. Not visible but correcting the comment because some owners pay attention to such small details even of hidden

My memory is that when we tried to bend it we ended up breaking it. Of course, that's not uncommon at my shop!

The second picture is a piece that screws to the back of the radio for an extension and slides into the clip in the first pic .

That piece is used in some low end Blaupunkt radios that have a smaller chassis than a normal radio.
